So this Friday is a very exciting day for Go Faster Food!
Our pole-vaulting ambassador, the lovely Lucy Bryan, will be pivoting herself 4.5 metres towards the sky in her attempt to achieve the qualifying height for Rio at the Great CityGames in Manchester. Catch her, along with the likes of long jumper Greg Rutherford and super sprinter Emily Diamond, (my son's old biology teacher's daughter, coincidentally, who just missed out on London 2012!) on the BBC from 18.00 onwards (Here's the full start list).

I'm really excited to compete because street athletics is such a different experience to a normal stadium environment. It's great to mix it up and have some fun jumping in the city centre and the atmosphere is always amazing.
For those new to The Great CityGames, it's amazing - top athletes from across the globe competing in the heart of the city on a purpose built athletics arena, built around Europe's biggest 10k, the Great Manchester Run.
